Rear loom is almost finished but I haven't decided what rear lights to use yet (Series 1 or Series 2)

Radiator and oil cooler

I may need to lift the oil cooler more into the airflow.

Extinguisher fitted

Master Switch Fitted

This may seem like a strange position, but it's easily reached, safe (middle of the car) near the battery (behind passenger's seat) so battery leads are kept short. And it makes fitting the dash easier as there are no big battery leads floating around behind there!

Dash trial fitting

Dash coming together. It all needs to come apart to varnish the dash (it is a 1960s car don't forget!)

The inspiration

And I'm aiming for something like this - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3567917.htm

But not that cost ( and not using plastic extractor fan ducting!)
Merlin has made some brackets for the AP  front calipers (which are even badged Lotus :-)   )

There's a bit of room for bigger discs under the Minilites.....

 Dash being roughed out

 The start...!

Big valve head with twin 45s

Removable steering wheel.
Merlin's adjustable top mounts (rear)

Here's the blog my for my Lotus Elan 26R (replica...?) rebuild. I've owned the car for a couple of years but because of other pressures and ill health, progress (on my part) has been slow.

The car will be a hillclimb and sprint car and I plan to run it in the Welsh Sprint & Hillclimb Championship.
